Debuts 

First We have a Re-entry from Adele all the way up at #18 with Oh My God. Why did this ever leave the countdown again? I mean honestly they should’ve just kept it on there last week. Whatever though as long as it’s here I’m okay with it cuz it’s really growing on Me now. 

Alright so starting with the debuts we have a song I absolutely hate. It’s from some rapper named Amarrae and features some singer named Moily and Kali Uchis. Uchis notably has one of my worst songs of 2021 so I wasn’t expecting anything great out of this when I first listened to it, and what do You know it sucks. This makes Life goes on by Oliver tree look like a great song, and You know it’s bad when that song has an advantage over this. First off I can’t even tell the difference between Amarrae and Moily here, they literally sound the same, and they both have overly annoying voices. They also both sound like they’re whisper-singing here, and they don’t do a great job at it. Kali Uchis also does not fit in here. I don’t see any part of this where she actually fits in. The production just doesn’t do it with her Columbian accent and once again she doesn’t sound good at all, her voice is too over-sexy and she’s whisper-singing which doesn’t make it any better. The production is your basic generic worldly shit to, it just doesn’t scream interesting to Me. Also I’m not sure why this is a big TikTok song cuz with the production and vibe it just doesn’t scream TikTok to Me like other songs do. Now the lyrics are the worst part of this thing. Y’all already know I don’t like a lot of Sexual music and I don’t think it needs to be on radio. Like what the fuck Hits 1. The lyrics here are all about either strippers or prostitution, so You can probably already tell it doesn’t sit well with Me. Overall not great for a radio song. I’ll gladly take Need to know over this(yet that’s very sexual) 

Oof another bad one. Next we have what I believe is the next single off of Billie Eilishes album Happier Than Ever, and it’s called Male Fantasy. This is probably one of the worst songs I have heard from Billie and that’s coming from someone who generally likes her music. The production here is bland once again and I just don’t find the Ukulele too appealing. If a guitar was used it would’ve sounded better but nope of course Finneas had to fuck it up somehow. The other issue is Billie herself, she just doesn’t sound like her in this song. I’m not sure really how to describe her vocals here even, let’s just say she doesn’t sound  too good. Again the lyrics are a problem to. This is not something that particularly should be pushed to radio, and I think it just makes Billie look bad as a songwriter, which disappoints me cuz usually her writing is very great. Overall not too impressed let’s move on, and oh yes We will. 

Alright so if it’s an actual great debut for once this week. I am utterly shocked this pulled through and I’m truly grateful to Hits 1 for even pushing it cuz it’s amazing. We’ve got juice wrld and Justin Beiber with our highest actual debut this week with Wandered to L.A. now I said a lot last week about this so imma try and keep it short. If You follow Me on my social media first of all You can probably tell I love this cuz I’ve been putting this in every single Instagram story that I’ve probably taken over the past week, and I’ve already told everyone how good of a song this was, so the hype is real people. First off the production slaps in this. It sounds great. The transitions between the more bassey and less bassey parts sound perfect and personally I think the right amount of bass was used cuz it doesn’t shake the shit outta Me or my surrounding when I listen to it, unlike songs like Way 2 sexy, so overall it’s a really nice sounding and kinda chill trap beat that’s used here. Juice wrld sounds great in the chorus and even more great in his verse, as that’s where he brings his emotional side a bit when talking about some of his issues. Beiber I thought wouldn’t do that great in this when I went into it, but I came out thinking holy Shit he was amazing. He really crushes his verse, he sounds amazing and he did a great job writing(if he did) cuz the lyrics are all catchy in it, and they really highlight some of juices struggles and his own to, which I think is great. The lyrics in juices part are all catchy and great to and he really does do a great job enhancing it with all the drug references(even though Hits 1 edits them out) cuz I think it shows the world what he went though personally and that his life wasn’t a perfect one. Overall I think I’ve said enough here Amazing song. Hopefully it does well here.

Biggest Jumps of the week:,GAYLE-abcdefu, Taylor Swift Message in a bottle, & Swedish house mafia/The weeknd-Moth to a flame(+9) I’ll have some stuff to say about Moth to a flame in the blurbs, but as for abcdefu I’m loving it, and I’m so happy that it’s gaining traction here and moving up the countdown, while being top 5 in AirPlay. As for Message In a bottle I’m also loving it, it’s probably my favorite song Taylor has released in a while. 

Biggest drop of the week: Jonas Brothers-Who’s in your head(-7) Ir would’ve really been nice to see this have some more time in the top 5, but oh well it had to drop at some point.

We only got one new song this week from 24Kgoldn called More than friends. I love this guy and If you’ve seen my top 40 of 2021 than You probably already know that. He’s amazing and he’s back with this new song on Hits 1. This is pretty good. Golden sounds pretty great here and the writing here is really good to. The lyrics are catchy and the production takes a few second to build up, but I like it. It sounds great. Overall nice debut. 

Bite Me officially Re-entered after leaving the countdown although it was played on Hitbound the last few weeks. Okay I guess. Hopefully it can Re-enter. 

Uh so what’s the reason that Do it to it, Ghost town, abcdefu,Wandered to L.A, Male fantasy and it’ll be okay remained on Hitbound for??????????? Like we already know that most of these will probably do well here except probably do it to it and Ghost town, so there’s no reason to keep em on Hitbound.

Blurbs 

Shawn Mendes fell 3 spots off the debut this week with it’ll be Okay. Now I’ll say 2 things here cuz I find this kinda funny. 1 I am not okay with it but secondly at the same time it got played right after Wandered to L.A and I like that cuz that means they played my 2 favorite songs on the countdown back to back. It’s quite funny how that happened, but really Hits 1 come on I thought y’all liked Shawn Mendes. 

U Gurl keeps falling after its debut. Good can we get it outta here please. 

Considering the fact that both Male fantasy and Wandered to L.A both debuted I’m a bit surprised Happier than ever and Stay are still here. I’ll take both though. 

Smokin out the window just can’t decide what to do here. 

Ghost town fell a bit off its debut. I’m hoping it can pull through and do well though. 

I feel good also fell. Seriously. 

I don’t think we need, Need to know to jump again. 

So one right can’t get into the top 10 but Moth to a flame, (aka burn a moth as Scott called it in the discord this morning) can. That’s strange considering the fact that Post Malone usually does pretty well on Hits 1. I will say though that Moth to a flame is continuing to grown on Me even more as I hear it more. 

Someone on Belugas blog left a comment saying to check out the Regard Remix of better days. I will say it’s quite groovey, but I still prefer the original better. It’s definitely something that’s worth checking out though. Better days is now at #6, can it be the second one to watch to make it to the top 5? 

At this point I don’t think Adele will hit #1 with Easy on Me, maybe Oh My God can at some point in the near future though. 

Shivers held for the 9th week in a row at #1 tying the record for weeks held with Good 4 u. I’m starting to get really tired of hearing this so hopefully it leave at some point. On a really funny note though while I myself didn’t get a survey this week as they still haven’t sent Me one(just send me a damn survey Hits 1) everyone who did get it got the #1 song spoiled to them this week. I saw a picture someone sent in the Hits 1 discord and it’s true actually. LMAO Hits 1 spoiling the #1 who ever thought that would happen. 

On another funny note Hits 1 must have a super dumb engineers working in the background cuz when they played the countdown rewind of last years top 5 songs they played the completely wrong list in the rewind which was next weeks list, but somehow they still managed to play last years actual #1 which was Golden from Harry Styles. I find that hilarious. 

As for the exits. I’m hoping Bite Me and Let’s go to Hell can Re-enter. I hope Love nwantiti falls out and leaves the abyss and I’m not 100% sure on what One days status is right now but if it’s gone than it will be missed and let’s hope You problem can take over soon.
