Debuts

Our only Debut this week is our new 1 to watch Suaco with his song Paralyzed. Now if you saw my recent IG Hitbound audio reviews on my page this past Thursday you’ll probably remember that I had this song as just decent or here that would mean it would be highlighted Pink, but I’ve decided that I kinda like this. Out of the 3 pop-punk/Alt songs that have been 1 to watch this year, this ones definitely not the best, but it’s still pretty good. Suaco sounds really good here, except for in the first few lines at the very beginning of the song, that’s why I held it back from being good I think, he just doesn’t sound good there, but in the rest of the song he sounds fine. The production here has a really nice buildup and I love the rock vibe. The trap sounds at the end really enhance it also. Overall not bad for a 1 to watch.

Best Countdown Debut-Paralyzed since I actually kinda like it now.

Biggest Jumps if the week- Kacey Musgraves-Justified, Lil Nas X-That’s what I want, Jonas Brothers-Who’s in your head, Doja Cat-Need to know, Justin Beiber-Ghost, and Olivia Rodrigo-Traitor(+4). Holy shit that’s a lot of songs, this is probably the most songs to have the biggest jump within a given week since the jump was so small only 4 spots. Justified is growing on me and I love it so I don’t mind. That’s what I want is awesome, hopefully it can do good here, I love who’s in your head and I’m also hoping it can do good here. Are you shitting me on Need to know? This songs needs to go the fuck away already. I’m really liking Ghost on the other hand so I don’t mind that it jumped and lastly we have Traitor, and I’m really glad it got back into the top 10 this week because it’s a pretty good song.

Biggest drop of the week-Duncan Laurence -Arcade(-12). This song is really good, but it is starting to get really old and it is dying out elsewhere outside of Hits 1 at the same time, so I don’t mind this huge drop. I’m so glad this song got a good run here though because I never thought I was gonna debut when it was in the abyss earlier this year, but I was wrong.

Hitbound Debuts

Our first new Hitbound song is from Skyler Grey, Polo G,Mozzy and Eminem and it’s called Last one standing. Interestingly enough this is from the soundtrack of the new Venom film. This is decent but not really the best song I’ve heard. Skyler Grey and Eminem sound good here, but Polo G doesn’t fit in and Mozzy sounds horrible. Production-Wise it’s ok but not great either. In Polo G and Mozzy’s verses the production is very generic and forgettable, but it picks up in Eminem’s verse and that part has a really good and well produced trap beat. Overall this is alright but not really the best thing I’ve heard either.

Next we have Manesksins new song called MAMMAMIA. I love Beggin and you could probably tell that I’d like this because I love alternative/rock music. This is really good. It’s not as good as Beggin, but it’s still solid. I really like the production here. Maneskins singer has a slightly annoying voice but I’m alright with it, because it goes with the rock production really well, and the lyrics are really good. I wouldn’t mind if this debuted.

Lastly we have a new song from Why don’t We called Love back. I love Why don’t We’s music, I’ve been a big fan of theirs since they released 8 letters, and this new song is probably their best performance. The guys all sound great here vocally, and I love the production, it’s very upbeat and it’s not as weird as in some of their other songs. I would love to see this debut.

As for our Hitbound exits this week we lost For tonight, My universe and Record player. I’m 100% sure the first 2 aren’t gone because they had some pretty good AirPlay all week, so they’re probably in the abyss, and I didn’t care about record player really. It wasn’t destined to become a hit.

Best Hitbound Debut-Why don’t we-Love back

Blurbs

On the quick note of Justified. Is it just me or did Hits 1 start playing a new version of this song, because somehow the production sounds slower than it did before?

It looks like I am not a woman,I’m a God is on its way out, which is too bad because it’s a good song.

Wow! Happier than ever jumped this week.

Everything sucks looks like it’s on its way out of here since it’s no longer 1 to watch.

I’m shocked both Good 4 u and Leave before you love me are still here. That’s awesome although these songs are both old.

Summer of Love dropped. Oh well I guess it won’t be a hit here.

Industry baby didn’t move despite being too 5 in AirPlay all week.

Shivers didn’t move at all, which is surprising considering this is Hits 1 we’re talking about.

I know I’ve talked about Traitor already but Yay! It’s back in the top 10. Let’s go for too 5 next week.

How long has Take my breath been #5 for again? I’ve lost track of how many weeks.

How is Bad habits still at #3 even though it’s going way down in AirPlay.

Stay remains #1 and I don’t mind.

The only exit was I guess I’m in love, it was a great song hit it was never destined to be a hit, and I’m actually it’s happy it’s gone to because They would always play it when I workout. Stop trying to ruin my workouts with downbeat Piano Ballads Hits 1.

#1 recommendation for Hits 1: Olivia Rodrigo-Brutal

Leave y’all’s favorite picks from the countdown and Hitbound in the comments and I’ll try to respond to every comment.

Thanks for reading and I’ll see y’all in the next one.
