Taylor Swift(2): Week of November, 26th 2022
Hello everyone what’s up? I hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving and is gearing up to have a great Christmas. Ir was an extra nice weekend for me, as the Florida State Seminoles beat their rivals the Florida Gators, and my main team the Jacksonville Jaguars(who are notoriously known for sucking) beat the Baltimore Ravens, so today is victory Monday here in(wait I’m gonna say it) Duuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuvaaaaaaaal, it’s been a great thanksgiving weekend, and with that I’d like to announce that the tracking period for Hitbound dropouts for 2022 is officially over, and we have a ridiculously large amount of dropouts this year at 168. We don’t have the forms set up yet for the Rankdown, but they’ll be out soon hopefully and I’m not sure when they’ll be due, but I will definitely be participating, and I’m also aware that Bubby has a Rankdown and I’m planning on doing that later on after I get my best list out at least, and speaking of the year end lists, I’m already working on my best list and already have half of it written out, I haven’t yet started my worst list, but that’ll probably also come soon. As of now I’d like to get both posts out by December 18th because that’s when I leave for Christmas, but I can’t promise that’ll happen, so you guys may have to wait as I’m a bit nosy right now getting ready for the end of the semester with school, and also having time to do the weekly countdown posts, but they’ll both be out sooner hopefully rather than later. Anyways, this countdown was really meh, let’s get into it starting with the exits,

Debuts
Alright kicking off this weeks new debuts(or not so new for this first song) is this song called Sex, Drugs, etc from some alternative band called Beach Weather. Well this is certainly an interesting band named, as well as a certain song name to, and in all honesty I’m not really sure as to why this is becoming popular on TikTok, it’s from 2016(someone please tell me why we have to make old songs hits) and it’s decent I guess, but really not all that special. The production is really good in this, and I love the vibe it gives off, but this vocalist for Beach Weather is not that good, he just sounds straight up bad and like he has some affects on his voice, which is weird for this type of music. The writing is not that memorable either. I can’t even remember what I hear anytime I do hear this(which hasn’t been much since this was first on Hitbound right before I had to temporarily stop reviewing the countdown). Overall alright, but nothing that special. Let’s move onto a much better alternative song now,
Next up we have what I think might be my next #1 song on my CrownNote(by the way that’s now posted in the sidebar if you’d like to track it) this is Maneskin’s latest song called The Loneliest, and this song somehow debuted Hitbound when it came out(when I wasn’t here) and then I listened to it when it was countdown extra on my birthday and I really liked it, and then it left Hitbound the next week somehow showed up in the abyss and now it’s here despite not being really big elsewhere(are Hits 1 secret Maneskin stans I wonder) like I said though I listen to my own shit now instead of Hits 1, and this is one of the songs that has almost taken over my chart(if it wasn’t for Regard, Jxdn and David Guetta) this is amazing. The production is really slow and I know that’s why some people don’t like it, but I personally love slower rock songs more than fast bang your head type metal songs, and this song is a perfect example of that chill and mellow rock vibe, it sounds good and it fits very well with the writing, which is very solemn and full of sorrow and sadness, but the production let’s that shine through here and the vocalist sounds great throughout this and I love his voice. Overall great song, and I hope it can stick around and become a hit, nothing else to say.
Lastly, we have none other than a familiar face and that is Nicky Youre with his follow up to Sunroof called Eyes on You. I loved Sunroof and still do and this is refreshing to hear because it’s pretty much Sunroof 2.0. The production is nice sounding here, and it sounds like Hits 1 sped it up, which I really like, cuz it sounds better that way. Nicky Youre sounds great here vocally and the writing is very bright and fun plus it’s very catchy. Not much else to say, great song.
Biggest jump of the week: Rosa Linn-Snap(+4) It’s nice to see this song jump and make it so high up into the top 20, even though it’s kinda faded on me a bit,
Biggest drop of the week: David Guetta/Bebe Rexha-I’m Good(Blue) & AJR-Worlds Smallest Violin(-5) Fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuck I’m Good fell to #9. ALRIGHT HITS 1 THAT’S THE LAST STRAW, IF WE FAIL TO MAKE AN EDM SONG HIT #1 NEXT TIME I WILL STOP LISTENING TO THIS COUNTDOWN. I’M SICK OF THE MISTREATMENT TOWARDS EDM. As for Worlds Smallest Violin, it’s a great song, but o saw the drop coming songs they don’t seem to be playing it a ton.
Countdown Extra: Becky Hill/David Guetta-Remember
Last years #1 song: Ed Sheeran-Shivers(6/14 annoying and excruciating weeks at #1 that I hope to God Anti Hero does not break)
My favorite song from last year: Ed Sheeran-Overpass Graffiti
My least favorite song from last year: Doja Cat-Need to Know
Hitbound
Joji-Die for you
Jxdn-Sober
Becky Hill/David Guetta-Remember
Rihanna-Borm Again
Lila Drew-Used To
Bailey Zimmerman-Rock and a Hard Place
Ava Max-Weapons
Kim Petras-If Jesus Was a Rockstar
Isabel LaRosa-I’m Yours
Regard/Drop-G/A-Sho-No Love for You
K.Flay-It’s Been So Long(Debut)
Sabrina Catpenter-Nonsense
AJR-The DJ is Crying for Help
Nicki Minaj/Maluku/Myriam Fares-Tuka Takah
Louis Tomlinson-Silver Tongues
Debuts
Our only debut this week is a song from some indie artist named K.Flay who I’ve heard of, but have never listened to before. This is her song called It’s Been so Long, and it’s really not that great to be honest, but it’s alright. I really like the production here, but K.Flay does not sound good with the weird vocal filter on her voice, it just ruins the song, but I will say that it is very catchy. Overall not the most memorable thing I’ve ever heard, but it’s decent enough.
We lost Before You by Benson Boone this week, and this song was not that great or memorable, so I’m fine with it leaving.
The Abyss
The Weeknd-Die for You
Sia-Unstoppable
DJ Snake/Summer Walker/Ayenna-Power(Remember Who You Are)
Omar Apollo-Evergreen(You Don’t deserve me at all)
Blurbs
Super annoying Freak Girl has fallen another 4 spots. Let’s goooooooooooooooooooooo! I love seeing songs I hate like this flop so hard, it’ll definitely be on my worst list of 2022.
Can Lift Me Up do anything????????????? I’m really starting to love it, how’s it not in the top 20, yet it’s at the top of the AirPlay chart?????????????
Both Enough and Left and Right dropped 4 spots. I don’t mind seeing the latter fall, but come on Enough is a really good song and I’d like to see it become a hit here.
Made You look also doesn’t need to be jumping in the top 20, although it is one of the most trending songs in the world right now for some stupid reason.
Yay 2 Be loved is out of the top 10.
Speaking of songs that I’m actually thankful made it to the top 10 before their ends are abruptly ended here(cuz that’s probably what’ll happen with this song) I’m so happy to see Bad Habit at #10. Let’s just say that this song is very very very very high on my best list of 2022, how high, I can’t say, but let’s just say it’s very close to High(if you understand my reference here). I BITE MY TONGUE ISSA BAD HABIT(flexin on you HrishK Music) lol.
At least Star Walkin jumped to #7.
How is Music For a Sushi Restaurant still at #5 when it’s been off the survey for 3 weeks now. This should’ve dropped instead of I’m Good. This is bullshit Hits 1, stop the fucking stanning.
At least Million Dollar Baby is now the top 5, it won’t really have a shot at #1 though.
How is Victoria’s Secret Still in the top 5, damn I’ve realized that I’ve missed most of its run here.
Anti-Hero is #1 again(because of course it is) and I’m really starting to become annoyed with this song now and it’s only been a month since it’s been out. Something tells me I’m in for a really fun winter with this countdown,
As for the other exit, So Good became So Boring a long long time ago, so I don’t care about it leaving.
#1 recommendation for Hits 1: Alan Walker(with some uncredited vocalist)-Ritual
Thank y’all for reading and I’ll see y’all in the next one,
"with some uncredited vocalist" Alan Walker probably rapped it himself
