Nicky Youre/Dazy(1): Week of July, 9th 2022
Hello everybody and what’s up. First off Let’s fucking gooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo,we finally have a new #1 song. Unfortunately I don’t see it staying there for that long though, but whatever. This week was actually pretty good, although there was very little movement. The countdown was still pretty solid though and Hitbound got slightly better, although they still have some work to do on that. One thing though before we get to anything. Um so round 2 of Simmer madness has been calculated and it seems as if we have not 1, but 6(yes 6) ties. Some of the ties have already been pre-determined as winners and losers and those that haven’t lost might have go into a rankdown, but to show y’all the results I will be linking a document that my good buddy Daniel made in the comments section, since I had no time to do the results last night he offers to help me out with it and I’m so very grateful for that. The results will be posted at the page here on my blog sometime this week though along with how we’re going to resolve the mess of the ties. Other than that everything else is great. Alright without further ado let’s dive into the countdown, here are our exits for this week.

Lady Gaga-Hokd my hand(23)
Camilla Cabello/Ed Sheeran-Bam Bam(14)

Debuts
We got a re-entry from Until I found you. Uh I’m still trying to decide if I like this or not, although I will admit it’s not a complete snoozefest to listen to unlike Glimpse of us.
Our only debut this week is Beyoncé’s new single off her upcoming album Renaissance called Break my soul. This is really good. I went into it with really low expectations given the fact that I’ve grown out of Beyoncé’s music since she went to join her husband Jay-Z on The Carter’s project, but alas she returns and she does it in a really nice way to. I like the production here a lot, it goes for a 90s house vibe just as Drakes new song does that I reviewed last week. This one just sounds a bit less interesting though. The voice in the background gets a bit annoying to, but not enough to where it brings the song completely down. Overall it’s a nice little vibe though. Beyoncé herself sounds really amazing here, and I really like the part where she starts rapping, it adds some spice to this that I never knew it needed. The writing is very well done and good here to. It’s not the most catchy or memorable thing ever, but it sounds great. Overall I really wouldn’t mind this becoming a hit here, although I don’t have high expectations for it to.
Best countdown entrant & Debut: Beyoncé-Break my soul
Biggest jump of the week: Maneskin-Supermodel(+7) It took a few weeks, but I knew this would eventually jump big here. I’m really liking this one right now to, so hopefully they keep it in the top 10.
Biggest drop of the week: 5 Seconds of Summer-Me, Myself & I & The Weeknd-Out of time(-5) Both these songs can leave any day now. Me, Muself & I is basic boy band hot garbage that doesn’t sound that appealing and Out of time is getting old and I never really thought it was that special to begin with so yeah.

Hits 1 why must Booty re-enter Hitbound? Just cuz it’s popping off on TikTok doesn’t mean it should be a thing or that it’s gonna be a thing.
Our first debut is from Blackbear, with his brand new song called The Idea, and this is pretty good, all it is is a solid pop-punk song. The production sounds great here, and it’s kinda giving me some Summer vibes. Blackbear sounds awesome and I really like the writing, it’s catchy and interesting kinda like in @ my worst from last year. Very good song, I hope it can do something here.
Next we have a very interesting debut from someone named Devin Cole called W.I.T.C.H or Woman In Total Control of Herself and I usually don’t really like hearing Woman empowerment anthems on the radio, but this one actually didn’t that bad. The production is upbeat and well produced here and Devin Cole doesn’t sound bad. The writing while not all that catchy is good, and I like the acronym she uses. Overall very solid although it’s nothing too special,
Jax I don’t think we needed to know Victoria’s little secret, No really I don’t think we did. This new Jax song that was released a few weeks ago is decent, but In all honesty, I don’t think she needed to add this much lyrical content to the song. The subject matter is just too girly and weird for my taste in music, but the good thing is that it’s not completely horrible though because she sounds great and I like the pop-punk production here. It’s also a bit forgettable though. Overall this is alright, but we don’t need I’m not pretty 2..0 on radio.
Next we have DNCE with their new song Got me good, and in all honesty the boy band In Real Life’s song of the same name is way better than this. Joe Jonas sounds alright here, but at the same time he’s not standout like in Dancing Feet. The production here is not that good though, it’s very forgettable sounding and from what I got from my first listen it really wasn’t that great sounding. The writing was catchy but eh, I could ho without this next.
Oh my God Hits 1 stop trying to make Dixie a thing, her music sucks(other than Be happy and psycho) this song isn’t really any better. Someone do blame is decent because I really like the writing as it’s relatable, but the production sucks here and Dixie does not sound that great. Can we move on from her please. She’s never gonna be a thing.
Alright well I’d love for this next one to become a hit. It’s called Betty(Get Money) and it’s by a rapper named Yung Gravy. First off automatically know that if this becomes big your gonna he rick rolled anytime you hear it cuz it samples Rick Ashley’s Never gonna give you up. The sample sounds so good here, and the beat sounds great with it mixed in, it’s very unique in a good way. Yung Gravy has a great voice here, and his flow is really good. The writing is alright to, it’s about money, but it’s not really that bad and it’s super catchy. Overall I hope this becomes a thing.
We lost Bois Lie, A letter to me, Angry woman, Twinkle twinkle little bitch and Die first. Bois lie should’ve debuted months ago, so I don’t really care that it’s gone, A letter to me sucked and was replaced so again don’t care. Angry woman sucked so don’t care times 3. Twinkle Twinkle little bitch was great and I hope it re-enters, although it probably won’t and Did first was a bit forgettable so I think I can live without it,
Best Hitbound debut: Yung Gravy-Betty(Get money)

Not really a lot of note-worthy movements this week, although there was a few.
Halsey moved up 4 spots with So Good. This is good, and I hope it can jump more, but I don’t have high hopes that it’ll become a huge thing here, and I’d be completely fine with that cuz honestly it’s a bit of a forgettable song.
Devil doesn’t bargain moved up 6 spots and into the top 20. I like this song, so this is good, but I mean there’s better unreleased songs out there than this that could’ve done the same thing. Cough cough I Love U Cough Cough.
Potion moved up 6 spots. Yay, let’s get this into the top 10 next week please.
Maybe your the problem moved up 5 spots. Why do I already see this being the next song to be blocked out of being #1
As it was isn’t #1 anymore Let’s fucking gooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo,
I never thought I’d be saying this, but Sunroof by Nicky Youre and Dazy has finally hit #1 on the countdown. I couldn’t be more happier than I am right now about this. I didn’t think this song was gonna be big when I first heard it, but this shit took me by complete surprise. Maybe I can have something to actually thank TikTok for now that this song has hit #1 here.
We lost Hold my hand and Bam Bam. I never saw Hold my hand getting that big, but it could’ve stuck around for at least a bit longer, oh well though. As for Bam Bam, it had a nice long run here, and even though it didn’t hit the top 5, I’m glad it got to the top 10. Goodbye great song, you will be missed.

I have a new series I am making called the Wheel Of Fortune countdown, which will include recommendations and new music. So, if you would please go to my blog (https://hrishkmusic.blogspot.com/2022/07/lizzo-1-week-of-7162022.html) and put your long list of recommendations for Hits1 in the comments section there, I would gladly appreciate it, and I would add some songs for Breakouts/OTV for the WOF Countdown.
